Two Women is a multi-channel video and sound installation with kinetic sculpture, inspired by the artist’s grandmother’s suicide. Set in a decaying domestic space, the piece explores themes of repression, memory, and loss through layered narration, archival news stories, and algorithmically-driven machines. Two kinetic sculptures punch suicide-related headlines in Morse code onto black paper, which then becomes a projection surface for submerged video imagery. The narrative, combining personal and historical trauma, is presented in both Korean and English, immersing viewers in a haunting meditation on grief and silence.
